Children are prolific dreamers, and they naturally speak the dreaming language. Learning to speak this language gives you deeper access to helping your child to overcome fears, insecurities, and other challenges of growing up, including working through social issues like sibling rivalry and making friends.
In our DYW Kids program we find that when parents engage with children with their dreams they grow closer together – it’s a “secret language” and children are excited to speak it to their parents. Talking about dreams brings whole families together, with dream sharing time replacing technology-filled ones, like at breakfast or dinner. Because dreams are aimed at aiding our development, each family member begins to untangle inner knots and discover hidden potentials.
This introduction workshop gives you a window into the secret dreaming language of your child. You’ll learn how to share this visual dialogue, and how it can open out new spaces of intimacy for the whole family.
