SUSTAINABILITY Workshop
Monday August 7 – Friday August 11, 2023
Sustainability has become a ubiquitous catch-phrase: we buy food that is ‘sustainably packaged’, source products that have been ‘sustainably manufactured’, and look to create sustainable technology. Beyond products, what does sustainability actually mean? Can we extend the idea of sustainability to imagine sustainable cultures, where people recognize difference and are able to live in peaceful balance? Sustainable rhythms, where the pace and activities of life are proportional between effort and creating, and rest and joy? Sustainable relationships, where love between partners is nurtured and cultivated through the challenges of time and age? Is there one key that connects them all?
The Sustainability workshop explores the deeper meaning of sustainability, proposing a unifying thread that creates a philosophy of sustainability. You will discover tools for making sustainable rhythms, practices, and relationships – with others, your creativity and work, and with nature and Source.
This experiential workshop is based in imagery, dreaming, and movement practices, as well as work with intuition. Situated in nature with fields and rivers, the workshop space itself is active participant in our work, and many exercises will be done with our nature-partner. Time is also our partner, and the workshop includes free-time for your own personal wanderings.
Due to the intimate size of the retreat center, this workshop can take a limited number of participants. Spaces are given on a first-come, first-serve basis, and guaranteed with payment of the deposit.
WHERE
The Sustainability workshop will be held at the Seminarhaus Taubenblau retreat center in Brandenburg, Stolzenhagen on the edge of the natural Uckermark region, in the Lower Oder Valley National Park, just an hour and a half away from Berlin by train or car. Hilly, with tranquil villages, beautiful hiking trails, and quiet forests, and directly on the canal, the retreat center is beautifully situated for our dreaming work, and for your explorations during quiet time provided throughout the workshop and for possible outings for those of you who might want to arrive early, or extend your stay, and enjoy the region.
